Kopila Children’s House is a safe and sustainable home for orphaned and abandoned children in Pokhara, Nepal. We provide shelter, food, education and love in a caring environment designed to foster security and success for every child.
Kopila Children’s House believes in the “family” atmosphere as the optimal way to give children stability and security for growth and achievement. KCH provides children with daily affirmations of love and appreciation, teaching them to build relationships with their “brothers and sisters” and KCH staff.
Kopila Children’s House is also committed to providing each child with a strong and appropriate education. Every child at KCH attends school and receives tutoring for as long as they live in the house.
Kopila Children’s House is a non-denominational organization; it follows no particular religious or spiritual agenda. KCH also maintains the order with no recognition of caste, ethnicity or any social distinctions among children.
Kopila Children’s House is registered with the District Administration Office in Kaski district and also affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC). KCH is also affiliated with the Sam’s House USA, which is a charitable organization registered with the US government. Sam’s House USA is the fundraising arm for the KCH. It provides KCH with the large majority of its operating funds.
