Women Environment Preservation Committee (WEPCO) is a non-profitable organization working in the field of solid waste management since 1992. In 1990, a group of local housewives participated in the training on “community based solid waste management and income generating activities” organized by CEAPRED. They started to manage solid wastes in small scale as Community Based Organization (CBO). With the initiation of 16 woman members from CBO, deeply concerned about the urban sanitation and feeling of institution, on May, 1992 a national NGO WEPCO was formally formed.Women Environment Preservation Committee (WEPCO) is a non-profitable organization working in the field of solid waste management since 1992.
