Youth Action Nepal (YOAC) is a leading national youth organization committed in the field of youth and development issues. YOAC prioritizes the essence of youth participation for sustainable and holistic development. Enhancing youth with their potential skill, knowledge and power is required for peaceful, democratic, disciplined and developed society thereby contributing a prosperous nation. No Youth, No Development: because Nation Building is in the hand of youth. Hence, ‘Youth Involvement for Nation Building’ is what YOAC alone stands for. YOAC is formally registered at District Administrative Office and it got affiliation to Social welfare Council to legalize this institution in Nepal. YOAC has the record of regular auditing and renewal of the legal status form the authentic government institution that timely goes on.

The organization mainly focuses on the issues of Safe Migration and Rights of Migrant Workers, Human Rights, Democracy and Youth Participation, Peace and Social Harmony and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). The organization has been receiving funds from international donor agency almost 1.2 million US Dollar every year since 2007. The partnership and trust of theses donor agency CARE, UNFPA, UNV, National Endowment for Democracy (NED), Misereor, IPPF, International Alert, UNIFEM/UN Women, WGNRR, United Nation Alliance of Civilization (UNAOC), USAID, Women Global Network for Reproductive Rights (WGNRR) has increased the reputation of this organization in national level. There are number of visible and invisible impacts of the implemented projects in the past among them YOAC helped to raise and frame the National Youth Policy in Nepal in 2010. Likewise, research on Youth Participation in Decision Making Level of Major Political Parties, Youth and Security in Nepal, Youth Participation Auditing etc played important role in bringing facts and figures of youth in Nepalese context. YOAC also became the winner of United Nation Youth Solidarity Fund (UN YSF)-2013 from United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.

YoAC through its elected executive committee every two years constituting 7 members makes official decisions and supports the implementation organization policies. The organization has separate Admin Finance, Human Resource, Volunteer and Gender policy. There are more than 300 volunteers both in central and outreach offices. The organization has well structured and well equipped with five outreach offices in Jhapa, Bara, Palpa, Dang and Kailali districts led by Programme Coordinators. In each districts five VDCs are covered. Each VDC has a youth network which is the prime target group. Hence there are altogether 25 youth networks around the country in the prime focus of the organization's programme and projects.
